About us

Our family business, which was originally a vegetables farm, switched in the early 90s completely in to a fuchsia nursery.

Marcel Michiels made from his fuchsia hobby and passion his profession.

It soon became clear that Katrien Michiels, his daughter,  shared the same passion. It didn’t take long before she also began to work at the nursery.

Nature, flowers and plants run as a common thread through her live. The small collection of special pelargoniums from her mother caught her interest very quickly.  Therefore a new greenhouse was built for the collection of Pelargoniums in 1997. She managed to acquire a whole collection in a short time.

The total area of the nursery was soon 3500 sqm.

The fuchsia collection grew over the years to more than 3000 varieties, the pelargonium collection to approximately close to 1000 varieties.

Hybridizing new fuchsia varieties is also done at the nursery.

In 2008 Katrien took over the company from her father. Marcel is still involved with the nursery, fuchsias are still his passion.

Next to Fuchsias and Pelargoniums you can find a nice assortiment of Streptocarpus plants and summer flowers. All these plants are grown at the nursery and sold directly to consumers.
